About Turner House
Hi, I'm Frederika and I'm the founder of Turner House Education.
Many of my happiest years were spent at my first boarding house at Godstowe Prep School; Turner House. I believe that a key component of my happiness were the hours of research my parents invested into understanding the school’s culture, academic life, and pastoral care. I now enjoy supporting families on that journey, by providing them with the invaluable information and advice needed to make their own decisions. Turner House embodied confidence, excellence, and authenticity. My goal is to champion these core values to all the families and students I work with. Coincidentally, Turner is also my married name!
I hold a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) from the Institute of Education-UCL, and achieved my Qualified Teacher Status in 2017. I also holds a BSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and an MA in International Journalism from SOAS.

During my time as a teacher in an inner city school in London, I strived to foster a happy and inclusive learning environment for all my pupils regardless of their cultural or socio economic background. I built my teaching practice on understanding each child as an individual, and supporting them to become leaders of excellence within their own unique educational journey.

Coupling this professional experience with 13 years of personal experience in the Independent school system as an international boarder, I understand first hand the importance of having a robust support system while adapting to a new educational setting in a foreign environment. This understanding spearheaded the work I do with teachers and pupils in schools to embed inclusion.

Whether it’s completing successful university applications, gaining a place at their dream school or collaborating with staff and students to create fully inclusive learning environments, I am committed to supporting parents, students and teachers with meeting their goals.

I look forward to working with you,
Frederika Ofong-Turner.
